"QWERTY is a standard keyboard layout that is commonly used for English-language typewriters and computers. The name comes from the first six letters in the top row of the keyboard. This layout was designed to prevent jamming on mechanical typewriters by placing commonly used letters apart from each other. Today, the QWERTY layout is still widely used and has become the standard for most keyboards around the world."
